Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund

MMAFTroops from Minnesota have earned their medals, not to mention our respect. The Minnesotans' Military Appreciation Fund lets us show our troops how much we value their commitment and service to our country by providing all returning soldiers with a cash award. This fund is financed entirely by businesses and citizens like you.

Since combat operations began, thousands of Minnesotan military personnel have been deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan.

What can we as Minnesotans do to demonstrate our appreciation for these men, women and their families?

Minnesotans Military Appreciation Fund (MMAF) is believed to be the nation's largest non-partisan, non-political, citizen's fund raising initiative to benefit soldiers who have served in combat since September 2001. The program calls on Minnesotans of all backgrounds to donate funds as a way of saying "thanks" to our soldiers and their families for their sacrifices.

Since the MMAF was launched in August 2005, nearly $5.5 million has been raised, thanks to donations from community leaders, individuals and local corporations.

Grants have been distributed to 3,148 soldiers and 26 families whose loved ones were killed in combat.

MMAF is an official 501c3 and a copy of their Exemption letter is available by emailing support@thankmntroops.org.
